Mt. Diablo Falls Trail

The Falls Trail at the upper end of Donner Canyon is one of the most scenic parts of Mt. Diablo State Park, with panoramic views, rugged rock outcroppings, and cascading rivulets. The moderate distance (8 miles) and modest elevation gain for this hike may be misleading, since the Falls Trail is quite challenging, with narrow, steep, slippery sections, and several stream crossings. This a strenuous hike for experienced, sure-footed hikers, and we will move at a brisk pace.
