July 4th Weekend Campout- 3 nights, July 1-4 2016

This year we’re heading to the Red's Meadows section of the eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains! We’ll be staying at Pumice Flats Group Camp (at 7,700 feet elevation) just west of Mammoth Lakes, California. This site provides access to some of the most spectacular wilderness in the Sierras and many outdoor activities such as horseback riding, fishing, hiking, photography and geologic study of the dramatic landscape. Devils Postpile National Monument and the famous Ansel Adams Wilderness are nearby for campers to explore.

GLS trips feature a variety of daily hikes and camaraderie around GLS’s new propane firepit, Don't miss the Follies (skits and home-grown entertainment) and a potluck dinner one evening. Hope you will join us for an exciting long weekend “out in nature”.

Cost: $45.00 per person for GLS members/supporters

$60 for nonmembers which includes a one year membership.

Campground amenities: Drinking water,Flush toilets, Picnic tables, campfire rings and food storage lockers are provided
