Labor Day Weekend Campout- 3 nights, September 1-4 2017

Come spend Labor Day Weekend in Tuolumne Meadows with your GLS family!  We will be camping in a gorgeous large, open sub-alpine meadow graced by the winding Tuolumne River and surrounded by majestic peaks and domes.  From Tuolumne Meadows, you will see snow-covered peaks, have opportunity to hike along the river, climb domes, visit historic buildings and bag a peak.  In addition to a variety of daily activities,  GLS camping trips feature camaraderie around GLS’s new propane fire pit, a potluck dinner (Saturday), and the option for Follies (skits and home-grown entertainment), game night, a dance party, campfire sing alongs, star gazing, book reading,  and whatever your heart desires.  Some may want to explore Tenaya Lake, go fishing, or leave the park and head east to visit Lee Vining, Mono Lake or even the hot springs at Bridgeport.

Fine Print:  Please read the following information to make sure this trip is right for you before registering:

Cost: $50.00 per person for GLS members; Nonmembers can register after joining GLS.  There is also a $30/car fee to enter Yosemite Park (good for 7 days).

Facilities:  We have reserved two group campsites with picnic tables, fire rings, and food storage lockers.  Flush toilets, drinking water, and an ampitheater are provided.  There are NO showers in camp.

Tuolumne Meadows Campground Policies:  Tuolumne Meadow Group Sites are "Tent only" sites.  Nobody is allowed to sleep in their vehicle.

Pets:  No pets are allowed.  Even emotional support or therapy animals are not permitted.  If in doubt, contact leader before signing up.

Cancellation:  read entire cancellation policy before registering:  Outing Registration and Cancellation Policies

Medical Information:  in the registration, we will be asking for medical information so that our trip and hike leaders will know in advance of special medical conditions you may have, rather than learning about them in a crisis.  This information will be kept confidential.

Carpooling:  We strongly encourage carpooling.  It's the right thing to do.  There are fields in the registration form to help you connect with others.
