Join the Rainbow Sierrans camping at Pinnacles National Park
In this unique landscape created by erupting volcananos we will encounter rock spires, oak woodlands, canyon bottoms. As we look to the skies we may see peregrine falcons, golden eagles and california condors.
Our campsite in Pinnacles is located about 2 hours south of the Bay Area.
Families with kids are encouraged to attend this campout!
The Park offers more than 30 miles of hiking trails that offer options of hiking flat grassland stretches to uphill climbs into the rocky spires. I am also very hopeful that we will see many wonderful wildflowers in bloom during our visit.
The club will offer a variety of organized hikes of different lengths/difficulty, and evening activities will include a pot-luck and other activities depending on interests of the group. We will be camping at a group site in the National Park. This site offers picnic tables, fire ring, potable water, restrooms and coin operated showers. Parking will be limited; carpooling is highly encouraged. The trip leader is Beth Bittle
