Forget the gym and join us as we walk up and down 4 miles of staircases and hills on Telegraph and Russian Hills. We will meet at the Ferry Building and begin with a 3/4 mile promenade along the Embarcadero, before beginning to climb. On this walk, green spaces, hidden stairways and stellar views will combine to treat the senses.
LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY: Moderately strenuous--We will be walking up to 4 miles at a moderate pace up and down steep streets, hills, and many sets of stairs.
BRING: Good walking shoes, flashlight or headlamp necessary for some of the green spaces and staircases, water, flashlight, hearty snacks, picnic dinner or money to buy something and layers in anticipation of San Francisco’s variable weather.
MEET: in the back of the Ferry Building at the tables outside Book Passage near the north (Bay) side of the building by middle entrance Signup Restrictions: DOGS: Friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcome provided they remain on a non-retractable leash and don't get underfoot or jump up on other dogs or people.
