The Rainbow Sierrans is excited to be offering a camping trip close to home. Come join us! While many of us spend a lot of time hiking on Mt. Tam, not many have camped there. In January, a group of Rainbow Sierrans campers will get to hang out in the redwoods together at Alice Eastwood Group Camp. The campsite is located beneath the Panoramic Highway near the Mountain Home Inn. Our site has tables, a shelter, a wash station, grills, flush toilets, water faucets with sinks, and some sweet spots for tents. Small campers, vans, and trailers will also be allowed.

Rainbow Sierrans camping trips feature a variety of hikes as well as camaraderie around propane fire pits, with options for a game night, sing-alongs and/or a dance party depending on the participants' interests.

Registration is limited to 20 participants, first come, first served. The cost of the trip is $60/person.

Important details to consider before registering

A medical form and participant agreement will be required to complete the registration process.
Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed. Note: this restriction applies to emotional support and therapy pets. Contact a leader if you have any questions. DO NOT just show up with a pet.
Weather: On average, January is the Bay Area's wettest, coldest month. That said, it never gets that very cold here, and we have a shelter if it rains. This trip will run unless there is a major storm.

Cancellation and refund policy:

Cancellations received at least 14 days in advance of trip will be refunded the registration fee, less $10.
Cancellations received less than 14 days in advance of a trip will forfeit the full registration fee.
If a personal or family illness or other extenuating circumstance causes a last minute cancellation, that person may appeal in writing to GovCom for a waiver and partial refund.
In all cases, no refunds will be issued until after the scheduled camping trip or outing.
Should the Governing Committee cancel a camping trip for any reason, all registrants will receive a full refund.
